[Booting Fail 2]

The music was the best part

The graphics were good, but I felt the story wasn't very well explained and there was a lack of animation after grabbing the starman.

But that music was brilliant - where did you find it?

The Music after grabbing the starman is from the Audio Portal, search for Monstrous Turtles!
The music from the menu is from Peter de Man. visit her website and in the "Discography" and search for "Cyborgs Trip" music, yeah, it's free :D

Decent animation

The animation was good, though the characters looked a bit too easy to draw, and the text often ended up off the screen before it could be read.

Don't worry about drawing faces, clothes, arms and legs. First attempts may look rubbish, but there's plenty to inspire you on the internet.

Just make sure you're next video has more detail and is easier to understand and you'll do fine next time.

Didn't make sense

In the author comments, you claim that this is the latest entry in the longest running series on Newgrounds, but I've seen better first efforts on here.

I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve here, but you've got to try a lot harder. It was as though everything needs improving - I'm not sure where you should start from though.

Not bad for a first try

Given the circumstances in which this video was made, this isn't too bad. I've seen worse first videos.

If you have a computer at home, you may be able to find a free Flash developer kit online (an open source kit, not an illegal copy of the Macromedia/Adobe program) such as FlashDevelop.

Also, invest in a good microphone, or access some royalty free sound effects online.

It could have been a lot better, yeah. I do have a pretty good mike, but considering I only had about 3 hours to make this, and I couldn't access a mike at school... I know I'm better than this, I just need to get this FlashDevelop thing haha :P

Really funny

Excellent story, decent art and animation.

The voice quality could have been better - perhaps you should invest in a better microphone or sound card. Could also have done with a few less curse words.

The grammar in the subtitles was spot on though.

You'll get there with practice

Claymation can be a slow thankless process, but with enough practice and patience (and maybe some pipe-cleaner skeletons), you'll be able to create a high action scene with a decent duration and frame rate.

Keep trying, you'll get there.

The only thing this lacks is colour - if this is your first, anything you make after this should be amazing.
